PE Integration with Classroom work

This week we have been integrating PE activities with work that is happening in the classrooms.
KG students have been looking at what it means to be responsible in PE class - "sharing equipment", "caring for others", helping friends" and even driving our trollyboard cars sensible to avoid big crashes!

Grade 1 students have been putting their knowledge learnt about directions from Maths sessions into use when we have been playing direction games. We have also been carrying on with our Cooperative Games unit at the same time.

With G2/3 students we have linked up with their Healthy Habits Unit of Inquiry and been looking at the importance of including physical activity as part of a balance lifestyle. We have taken a fitness test to help students judge how fit they are and over the next few weeks will looking at how different type of activities effect our heart rates.

Finally our G4/5 students are looking at what to do when their beliefs are different from others in their group as they participate in a series of different group activities.
